Santry Sports

Well done to all the boys and girls who participated in the Cumann na mBunscol athletics in Morton Stadium in Santry on Tuesday last. The children from 3rd to 6th class competed in sprint races and in  4x100m relays. It was a great day enjoyed by all. The children particularly enjoyed running on a tartan track. Everyone did their best and represented their school very well.

Particular well done to Finn Jones in 6th class who picked up a silver medal for finishing 2nd in his u12 sprint.

Green Schools Flag Award

Congratulations to all the children of Glenasmole NS who earned their 6th Green Flag this year. The current theme of the Green Schools Project is ‘Global Citizenship – Litter and Waste’. It has been a two year project and the children have worked very hard to earn their flag.

An awards ceremony was held recently in The Helix in DCU where we were awarded with our flag. Four representatives from the Green Schools Committee travelled to DCU last week to receive our flag.
